MRFAC Advocacy
MRFAC also represents manufacturers and other industrial radio users before the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on Capitol Hill. MRFAC's advocacy efforts are aided by Washington counsel and often undertaken in concert with The National Association of Manufacturers. A few examples include:
- The Successful initiative for designation of additional crane control frequencies
- The Successful defense of 900 MHz for industrial users against threat of auctions
- The preservation of co-equal access for manufactures to UHF channels shared with other industries
- The successful advocacy efforts on behalf of business and industrial radio users in the 800 MHz rebanding proceeding
- Opposition to the Federal Aviation Administration’s proposal for a sweeping expansion of antenna structure registration requirements
